This may come as a surprise to many people, but hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. People seem to have misconceptions due to stage hypnosis and from what they have seen on television.

Hypnotherapy is exactly what it says, using the process of hypnosis combined with therapy to encourage your subconscious mind to find solutions to problems. You will go into a trance-like condition, which enables you to go into an enhanced state of awareness. You will be in total control yet at the same time be deeply relaxed. The conscious mind will now take a back seat while the Subconscious mind is revealed. Ideas will then be suggested to the subconscious to enable us to begin making changes to resolve your problem.

The aim is to re-programme behavioural patterns within the mind. This in turn enables us to remove phobias, negative thoughts, irrational fears, and suppressed feelings.
